Finding Serenity

Now I know that I have been all politic-ed out lately, however I just can’t wrap my head around some things that are going on. When I am asked why I support Obama I have answers- I support his policies on healthcare- I am excited about his plans for alternative energy sources and jobs. I love the tax cuts. When it is brought up that he does not have as many years experience as a politician I let people know that all that says to me is he is not as indebted to the political players as McCain- you don’t spend that many years with dogs without getting some fleas!As I read the blogs and the forums online I hear a lot of comments from McCain supporters talking about why they do not like Obama- mostly that he does not have experience or he is a terrorist etc. What I do not hear is anyone supporting their vote by discussing his policies or citing any of his strategies to turn this country around. It’s almost like you believe that he can do it just because he is a republican and he says he can. Lets focus here- to cite Biden-how can the McCain campaign make a plan for global warming when your VP openly said she is not sure what caused it? -And are’nt you a little more concerned with thinking that she is cool cause she is a hockey mom than because she has the answer to some of our nation’s problems. Insteas of talking about her son being at war talk about her strategies- her son decided to enlist not her- why should she ride on his coat tails let him have the recognition for risking his life for his country -not her- Her son being in Iraq should be her motivation- not her platform.I mean how many of you would feel comfortable letting Sarah Palin manage your household let alone your country- I mean sure she can get your kids to hockey practice on time but after that???or How can the McCain campaign tell us we are going to win a war that they have no time line for- if we are winning like his campaign said- shouldn’t there be a withdrawl plan and if there is why not share it with us?? Tell us what you are going to do to help our pockets or improve our lives- not who Obama hung out with - I mean you hung with Bush for 4 years - people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones!!Now certainly McCain supporters you have a right to your opinion and by law your vote- but when I hear all the slander and not the issues it reminds me of the line from the Cat In The Hat movie- I hear you talking but are you saying anything??
